Here's To The Real Heros
We shut down our cities,
To protect the old and weak,
Lives completely changed,
By an enemy we can't see.
History will eventually tell the story,
And how the battle was won,
That the soldiers on the battle front,
Weren't taught to fight with a gun.
Unsung heroes in white coats,
Science: the greatest asset to humanity,
But, for now, credit will be given to those
Who pride themselves with vanity.
When the deed is finally done,

LOOK AT HER.. She is a Badass warrior!
This lady is the face you don't see! Her and all of the front line soldiers battling a war WE are going to win.
She has over 35 years in the medical field and is the person you see when you walk through the Emergency Room doors.
Take a good look at her battle gear. These people are our soldiers damn it! Training for years and with a lifetime of knowledge.
She is the human being who weeds out the bullshit drama and has to make an educated decision of...

Glow In The Dark
This is a new glow
seriously
the tracer
illuminates
my veins
lying here
in the dark
I have the greatest respect
for medicine and science
experiencing first-hand
the marvels of investigation
a shot of dye
in the blood
simulated stress
a quick antidote
Wondrous what can be done
to see the tale of a heart
and the connecting networks
Got the runner's high
without moving a muscle
I can really say
I've got radioactive blood
(cue retro Spiderman theme)

Nerdy Love
She is the spectral of colours
On the wavelength of visibility
Her mind a prism
Separating the known colours of love
Like a rainbow
She is indivisible
Vibrating through the universe
Sensitive yet wild in imagination
Radiating dangerously
But beautifully into my being
There is no medium
She cannot touch
Reaching the conscious and unconscious
As easily as the neutrons
That fire inside my head
Absorbing me at the atomic level
All my particles taken apart
Her magnetic energy ...

If I hated anything it would have to be the outlets
He should have kept it all closed
I only see that it was a cowardice decision
breaking through what we once built
and all with which awe inspired itself of
a silence so thick
every echo turned to a flat line
every noose's loop pulled straight as it's rope stem
the only leaves about

Without Power
It's quite and calm
when the lights go out.
Burning candles in the
night for the electricity
shut down in the
middle of the night.
We don't realize how much
we depend on modern
technology until it collapsed
unto society causing silence
through out the land.
Some will cry for help,
others will be helping,
the few will survive on leftover
fuel supplies.
No internet,
No lightbulbs burning in their
sockets, no refrigerator to keep
food from spoiling.

A Child of Rock & Roll
A farm boy from the Wisconsin cold
I didn’t like classical music at all
Till I found myself in Movie Theater
Thinking I was about to see
Another Sci-Fi feature
But there were no
Monsters or Aliens
Instead a troupe of Apes
Screaming and chattering
Till the breaking of the dawn
When one of the creatures
Discovered a bone
Could be used for a tool
Or a weapon of war
When he began breaking bones
The Vienna Philharmonic began
Playing the theme song
I felt my hair stand up on end ...
