Conscious
Collections of matter
-- atoms of stardust and dinosaur shit --
that for some obscure reason
(or no reason at all)
have the ability to experience
their own existence.
That's all we are, really.
Maybe this sentience
is imbued upon us
by some Ultimate Sentience
that just wants to
not
be
alone.
Or, maybe it's random physics.
Maybe it just IS.
Does it matter,
this immaterial insight?
Either way, we only get to operate
this meat suit
for a miniscule blink of...

One Winter In North Wales
The temperature dropped to -19c
I ventured out into it
Dressed like a yeti
There was no wind
Everywhere was frozen, and still
And a strange silence, as if sound had frozen
Then i remembered a science documentary
Where a scientist demonstrated in temperatures the same
As we now had in the village
Firstly throwing a cup of cold water into the air
Then watching as it fell as water to the ground
The part of this demonstration that wowed me
Was when she threw a cup of scalding hot water into the air
As it fell to the ground as snow!...

Einstein on my mind
It all began with molecules
joyfully escaping my coffee as steam
thinking about midnight suns
shining through the pinholes in the sky
Then I thought how trapped I am
my life revolving about your smile
as if spun by the gravity of suns
chasing the whiplash of the mind
How I chafe at this orbit of fate
hurtling through a star's mad dream
colliding like a megaton bomb
destroying the dinosaurs with love
with all my energy spend
my mass now resting on your breasts
the thought occurs...

mathematics
not reality, not what we see
just numbers on a screen
mathematics is not we
it's just a kind of dream
in the minds of those who find
what's really real too hard
no equation of space/time
does more than just retard -
one plus one begins the fun
of numbers gone awry
nothing equals anything
under any sky
no black holes, no neutron stars
no Constant in gravity
the universe both near and far
is born electrically
and is sustained despite the rain
of numbers on a screen
by EM forces...

Scientific Contradictions
In the beginning there was nothing.
And then something came from this nothing.
Everything, in fact.
Three different concepts;
‘Nothing, something, everything.’
All at once, never ending, and never beginning.
How can ‘something’ also simultaneously be ‘nothing’?
How backwards and illogical.
A riddle stitched deep within the very fundamentals of this universe.
Three truths all at once,
Three lies never told.
Just simply open the box!
It opens back at you.
Nothing exists in all that exists...
And then something came from this nothing.
Everything, in fact.

The Garden Gate.
We're in parallel with other Earths
there's one see, it goes to our past,
but their living is from grave to birth,
like us they travel fast.
They spread across their universe
their start was our heat-death time
and their versifiers will unwrite their verse
but, long after mine...
They're on their way to unbuild things
their pyramids and such
to unerect their stone-age rings
to undiscover much.
Their achievements will be unremembered
their secrets born by men,
back to the womb unentered...
