A Change is as Good as a Rest
I used to stand on issues of the day
to walk, to bus, reducing CO2,
a pescatarian, I was one too,
but now I’ve realised how slight my sway.
When other’s throw environment away
I can’t correct that which the masses skew,
and if they see no wrong in what they do,
I do not lead, when I am waif and stray.
It’s clear you do not wish to be like me,
let me like you, enjoy a BLT,
at least whilst I recover BMI,
then may return to eating pie in sky.
Moral, I never was no Jesus Christ,
it was complex, the way the threads were...

Rock, And Roll Is Dead
Geology
The first rock, and roll
Mossy stones
That lie dormant
Possessing fossils
Locked within a frozen groove
Now
We mostly have
Bricks, and mortar
Manmade control
No longer rock, and roll
Concrete jungles
Seems to be the way ahead
As mother nature
Now within reach
Of the land of the dead
Mankind conquered
The natural world
Not comprehending the damage
That has begun to unfurl
Humanity as yet
To fully appreciate
As we grow our harvests
Biting the hand
That feeds us....... ...

You are the filth
I walk the streets where I live
Everything is filthy
All the walls are covered in spray paint
The ground is covered in garbage
Dogshit in little piles
The people are fat, poor & ugly
Wasteful & slow
Every once in a while someone will put a new coat of paint on the front of their store
Before the paint is dry, the wall is covered with graffiti
When someone tries to clean the streets, they are covered in dogshit in a few hours
You have had too much for too long
You are the filth
There's not much that can be done with you ...

World of Filth
Humans are destroying mother earth
fertile lands toxic, decaying rebirth
air, land and sea are heavily polluted
deforestation, extinction, trees uprooted
corporations profit, not a care for our well being
asthma, emphysema, difficulties breathing
diseased animals, FDA approves to consume
aquatic life tainted, lead in our blood stream, awaiting doom
man made diseases, a global threat to our demise
extinction is certain, time to revolt, time to rise
fertile lands toxic, decaying rebirth

There are no geese at Coastguards
There are no geese at Coastguards
It's not unheard of for the sea to abandon
everything by morning.
I go when the tide is low
have always wanted to see the full shape of land
undressed as an island.
While taking a loop,
only accessible when she's out there -
and I'm back in,
we become
somewhat restful.
I spot a barrel,
petrol blue,
larger than a jutting stone,
half full and languishing on one side -
goose barnacles attached to his ribs,
screaming for life, small heads
seeking, rising,...

Open cast Mining
This earth moving machinery
rattles and clangs through its rude day,
scraping away ancient scenery
and my childhood along the way
exposing coal under the clay.
The drone behind this high pitched whine
indifferent to the changes wrought
worms and casts aside my past times
for preciousness its master sought,
which drifts like smoke away to nought.
This droning drags on through the years
the desolation is complete
and fruitless now the ground sprouts tears
watching the spread of new concrete
to hide the black that...

This place is located anywhere from sea to contaminated sea
Other towns you may have seen or heard
Sump, Filth, Hellhole, and Scum will make you want to flee.

Blades of grass now tipped wide
stood a garden upped and died
bones of yesterday's memories
