Is nothing but a hybrid
Of history and literature;
ICT and biology
And international politics.
In the “Eyes of Darkness”
Decades ago
Was the Wuhan-400 bred
In some biology laboratory in Wuhan.
How it started spreading
Like some malware virus
Through the internet in 2020;
Attacking world powers and economies.
In Africa, the dark continent,

As the people there

Like this, Financial Death lurks like the Grim Reaper.
Outdated Infrastructure is lethal to the community.
Obsolete Education makes this poem look foreign in America.

Plate Tectonics crack back in search of rebirth.

The Earth is Trembling!
Today we must plant the seed
fallen from Adam’s forbidden fruit,
return the garden; put our brimstone down
Beg our trembling Earth 🌎
to fear not fire 🔥
nor missiles brighter than suns
in the night sky
Are there any shooting stars left?
We’ve washed our hands in melting ice
drank water until transformed
into lead lemonade and mud mojitos;
we are drunk off denial
thinking recycling one bottle is enough.
I’m praying for a cloud where people thirst.
I’m praying for a patch of...

Joy derived from money’s bloom
is sad offset to the coming doom
ask the barons for their crumbs
cold medallions are the surplus
those dividends that fill the purse
aren’t enough to reimburse
the bill that children will receive
after the guilty are deceased
their bones laid in watery graves
or scorched beneath the sun’s rays
shed no tear for these ones
the siren sounded while they toiled
looking to the bottom line
while their spawn became the damned
pawned for the brass ring
