The Crime of Words
If ink becomes illegal,
if words are chained and burned in the square—
what then of us, the lunatics with pens?
Would we bite the tips of our tongues
and bleed verses into our mouths,
spitting sonnets in shadows
where no ear dares linger?
Would we smuggle metaphors
in the seams of our jackets,
carve haikus into bathroom stalls
with the jagged edges of broken stars?
Would we gather under moonlight—
a cult of mad scribes,
pounding out our madness on rocks
until they crack open like truth?
They will call us...

only flying with one wing
means crashing to the ground

vampires don't exist
but if they did
they'd wear red hats
and suck the life out of me
aliens can't land their mothership
because the world is flat
so they just fly right passed
some days I can't believe
that this is really reality
most of you should be ashamed
but you're too stupid to be ashamed
and If I was a zombie
I would starve to death
no, we can't disagree and still be friends

if there was a time I believed in unity
it's long and gone
my short term memory...

Prayer and Poetry is Powerful
Hopes were dashed.
Anger replaced hope.
Tension turned to tears.
Tears reveal the future is worth fighting for.
Doubts and anger find solace in prayers and poetry.
So, wipe your eyes.
We did our part.
Prayers and poems return purpose, patience, remembrance,
belonging, willingness, inclusion, community, confidence, wisdom.
We wash our souls of this present pain.
We are worthy of Promises that do come true.
Change reveals that Truth is steadfast.
Remember the past.

Like i like dogshit on my shoes
Or mosquitto bites on my anywhere

My Fear
maybe this isn't very poetic
honestly I don't know what to say
I just know I have to say something
I'm not usually one to be afraid
but I do see things greater than me
something that does pull one my heart
is the suffering of others
I don't like when Trump speaks
he talks about people like trash
I've said so much about him
and you've heard about him
my fear is hearing it for another 4 years
but a greater fear
is watching freedom die
and we became forever desensitized
to hatred
honestly I don't know what to say
I just know I have to say something

Peanut Butter Sandwich In Parliament
he strolled down the lane
taking peanut butter sandwiches
to the prime minister, while
whistling a jaunty tune, about
fool's gold and a baboon.
he knocked at the door
from the chamber there was an uproar
switching off the telly, labor
wanted jelly, to fill their fat bellies
and as for the torries, they
want to regal him about war
and past glories, while they
jumped into foxholes, smearing
themselves in marmite.
a comedy of errors, a cast of characters
that were caricatures of themselves...
