Midnight Blues in New Orleans
Midnight Blues in New Orleans
Degas in his studio
Paints the NOLA cotton exchange
While sad clouds drift
Like floating islands of Bible belt dreams
High on the calluses of blues guitarists
Wailing like the ghosts of Hades
That haunt Claiborne Avenue
Like a hobo with his stove pipe hat
With a bottle of Port to welcome his ship
When he rises from his entombed dreams
Where Jelly Roll Morton was heard
Playing on the victrola
When the scent of whisky poured
From windows to the midnight voodoo
Of a...

Univocalic (O)
Downtown Toronto,
shop front on dodgy block hosts groovy show.
How jolly!
Forty boho hobos, long of tooth,
toot obos, hoot horns,
clonk gongs, bop bongos.
Two bozos on obos of wood do solos—
two old boys on form!
Dozy hobos forgot words to songs
or how to hold gongs.
Horns now honk. OW!
How folky.
Boozy old hobo on bongos looks lost.
Bozo who owns dowdy wool hoody
flogs lots of goods
(CDs, on mono only - no promo!).
Now, no stock.
Odd-socks...

Library of Hatred
Library of hatred disenfranchised by the womb of the populous
Oh, how I breath the words of true grit
Here they are expelled from the curtain of my tongue
Will you dance with my ideas behind the parallel circumstances?
Will you remember everything that has been taught to you?
Will you grab the goat by his ice-cold horns and take the ride into the stars?
The body crumbles but the will is magnificent
It is magnificent!

Known Displeasures (collab with Casted_Runes)
Sun-bleached English terraces cry out.
Remember when you were fifteen,
and stopped at your mate’s,
and met his mum, and saw the years
lining her face, the bedrooms packed with junk.
The playing fields outside, to which
you couldn’t go at night, and where
the children’s park was known...
as offices for drug dealers. The Joy Division,
it could be called. Thus out of death
and Macclesfield you came to me in my despair,
and in your broken dance and voice an air
blew in, of dark ironic prophecy,
to tear, like love, my...

~- the flawless fairy spotted deer..
(an inspired lyrical from the 1981 Tamil film #AayiramNilaveVaa -
a female solo sad number sung hauntingly by the living legend
singer #PSusheela & scored by Maestro Ilayaraja, song linked below)
https://youtu.be/ITNHmYoUVek?feature=shared
(intro verses)
stranded in the gushing
shores of the holy Ganges..
she, a mesmerize of a spotted dear.. yet there
in a deeply torn~ thirsting melancholic daze
is in search of.. the waters..
yes, in search...

Singing in the Rain of Tears
Miranda
Fruits crown her laughter,
Rhythms bloom in vibrant hues
Carmen sways through life.
Sumak
Voice of mountains soar,
Ancient echoes fill the air
Yma's song transcends.
Maria
Voice like a tempest,
Passion pierces through the soul
Callas reigns supreme.
Rodrigues
Fado’s voice takes flight,
Soulful tides of sorrow swell
Amália endures.
Berberian
Avant-garde takes flight,
Cathy's voice bends worlds to art
Boundless, bold,...

August 31st 2019 (Big Camp)
Five days after performing at Hastings Pride
(My first performance on a stage!)
I was then transported to Lincolnshire
For a fabulous Big Camp
In a field surrounded by other fields
Containing sheep, and turnips!
I'd put myself down on an open mic
I was awaiting my turn
And was to follow a strong man act
Which was pretty impressive
But i was thinking, how does a poet follow that?
Whilst waiting, i went to get myself another cider
When i noticed they had something called mead
Never liked honey, but thought 'when in Rome'
