They say that behind close doors are many of our darkest, memories and secrets things we will take to our grave. Yet only known to us. For what we take to our grave, are those memories and moments whether good or bad, when we felt the most deepness of hurt. Where there is nothing but depth and pain, that screams with tears running down your face. Yet as the past slowly comes, rushing in like a midnight storm. As it separates you, from the rest of the world. Yet at times covering your life within the deepness of darkness. But yet it is there we find ourselves, feeling trap and lost walking...

Exception to the Rule
Every man
believes himself
an exception
to the rule,
that many things
he still might be
but never
just a tool.
His wisdom is
an insight of
how different
that he is,
when just affirming
this is true
negates
he's such a wiz.
He takes up time
and space
from her
to tell that he's not,

her the floor

Family ties through hurt eyes
The love we garnered from each other’s families became un breakable
Your family loved me past the relationship & they made sure I knew
My family welcomed you with open arms anytime you wanted to talk
They knew we were toxic for each other but their support kept us right in the middle
When it came time to go our separate ways, our families fought against what we knew we had to do
Our health declined because we didn’t cultivate each other & we let our families dictate our emotions

the refugees
The Refugees
The west was a result of its constant interference and war in the middle east
has created the refugee problem we see in Poland.
two autocracies, one is Poland sliding into a fascist state
the other is a communist state Belarus.
Between the as a buffer, hapless refugees, freezing and hungry
waiting to be let into Europe.
The EU leaders are in flux, their incompetence is glaring
and their lack of vision is none existing.
The refugees don´t want to stay in Poland or in Belarus
they have had enough of tyranny.
The EU has a duty...

I know how hard it is,
I walk right alongside you,
I know you’re depressed,
I know the stress,
I know how it manifests
& shows up in your “attitude”.
Got trauma in your womb,
Not even your own…
Seeping right on down,
Deep into your bones…
But you better not show it!

You’re so strong!

Pushing on, despite the mental health,
Despite being so damn tired,
You still get up and do it,
Because if not you then who else?

Nothing in life is clear
Or even close to certain
More than just one way
To look beyond the curtain
Left is the same as right
Right is the same as wrong
Because it's all up in your mind
None of it was real along
We give names to what is nameless
We give order to the wild
And at the very end
We teach it to a child
But the truth feels like a lie
And your heart is tricked by it
Told what you will do
For your story's already writ
Can't break these chains that bind you
Afraid to see...

the burden

Tomorrow's daughter
she speaks to rainbows
her head is in the clouds
no her feet don't touch the ground

she has tea parties in the closet
whispering poetry to ragdolls
no she never makes a peep or a sound

she points toward the sun
her eyes pirouettes around the moon
she can see the wild flowers bloom

spreading jam on points of toast
she watches the sparrows fly
