Yakhsaf Allah Bih Al’ard
A beautiful disaster or a horrendous beauty I know not which
Beguiling eyes, mischievous thighs, desirable lies
A hat trick, a party trick, a thrill and a tough pill
Triangular affair or possibly square
My part was two including you, that much is true
What else was consumed one can only assume
A detestable feast
An unsavory lunch
What a luck ton of fuck
A waddling duck askew
For everyone else what a view
As for me and you
We're threw
Beguiling eyes, mischievous thighs, desirable lies
A hat trick, a party trick, a thrill and a tough pill
Triangular affair or possibly square
My part was two including you, that much is true
What else was consumed one can only assume
A detestable feast
An unsavory lunch
What a luck ton of fuck
A waddling duck askew
For everyone else what a view
As for me and you
We're threw

Old Man Remembering
In a room of modest charm, above a tavern of little worth,
A shelter worn but warm, a speck upon the earth.
Through panes that framed the sight of alleys dim and tight,
The whispers of the night, where shadows danced till light.
Below, the joyful cries of laborers at play,
They laughed as young girls led them astray.
But in our space so meek, upon a bed so plain,
Our bodies found their lifetime homes within love’s tender reign.
For in her was my soul's delight, my first love's gentle grace,
A woman, fair and bright, who'd share...
For in her was my soul's delight, my first love's gentle grace,
A woman, fair and bright, who'd share...

sleepy, beautiful woman
falls asleep during the football goes
to extra time, and I wake her up to say it’s gone to penalties, but she closes her eyes again and says, I can’t look ..

For My Husband on Our Anniversary
Inside my mouth is the ocean's heart,
A briny drop of the ancient start,
Where life unfurled from depths unseen,
A taste of time, both sharp and keen.
Your kiss, my love, is salt and sweet,
A confluence where two souls meet,
Tears and sweat, the love we've sown,
In love’s embrace, our truths are known.
Beneath your touch, I am transformed,
Not just a wife, but spirit warmed,
We ride the waves of primal seas,
In this dance, we move with ease.
I am the tide, you are the moon,
In our marriage bed our bodies swoon,...
A briny drop of the ancient start,
Where life unfurled from depths unseen,
A taste of time, both sharp and keen.
Your kiss, my love, is salt and sweet,
A confluence where two souls meet,
Tears and sweat, the love we've sown,
In love’s embrace, our truths are known.
Beneath your touch, I am transformed,

I am the tide, you are the moon,
In our marriage bed our bodies swoon,...

MORNING AFTER WEDDING NIGHT
Lying embraced,
our limbs close-placed,
within the bed
we share, naked.
Through window view,
dawn's sun shines through,
casting its light
like God's delight.
The music's sound
in the background
a serenade
to love we'd made.
While we ponder
our shared future
and family,
then yet-to-be.
our limbs close-placed,
within the bed
we share, naked.
Through window view,
dawn's sun shines through,
casting its light
like God's delight.
The music's sound
in the background
a serenade
to love we'd made.
While we ponder
our shared future
and family,
then yet-to-be.

Siesta
She bade me whiff her sack of clover seed
as in the garden she had been,
collecting with her botanical greed...
to trigger some serotonin.
She was sorceress at enhancing mood
or provoking afternoon plans
wherein we are reciprocally wooed...
like surfers in their Astro Vans!
But no surf for us, our room must do,
and so to it we both withdrew
for a senior post meridian screw
the likes of which Aphrodite knew
as she tested the love of gods, and men,
only to see them fall asleep again!
as in the garden she had been,
collecting with her botanical greed...
to trigger some serotonin.
She was sorceress at enhancing mood
or provoking afternoon plans
wherein we are reciprocally wooed...
like surfers in their Astro Vans!
But no surf for us, our room must do,

Lunistice
We had her Eden; I had my Eve;
and we had the Strawberry moon
who by a solstice would conceive
something like a glory typhoon,
and though she rose and travelled slow
it was to help the longest day
maintain its magic polar glow...
with summer's newest lunar ray!
It was all a glory hard to ignore
but one that every headstone gets to see
should the weather allow them to adore,
heaven, in its laurel magistracy...
as if to echo our honeymoon years
and blunt the sting...of cemetery tears.
and we had the Strawberry moon

The Wedding Vow
I walked the fields in early morn
no sound among the mist
I longed for more, my lover's touch,
his lips that I did kiss.
We came this way
not but a day
ago when we were wed;
we pricked our skin,
sealed blood within
eternal vows, we said.
The crumbled church comes into view
the dewy brambles clear
"I've come at last to wait for you!"
my bridegroom, he is near.
The ancient stones
had formed our home
the altar, it still stood;
desires awoke
from what we spoke--
I'm now his...

What can we agree on?
She called it rape
He called it enforced love
She said it was a vile intrusion
He said it was doing what came naturally
She called it marriage
He called it minimum security prison
She started talking about heaven
He started talking about hell
They both got up and left the room
He called it enforced love
She said it was a vile intrusion
He said it was doing what came naturally
She called it marriage
He called it minimum security prison
She started talking about heaven
He started talking about hell
They both got up and left the room
