the value of book
The value of books
Late afternoon the sun has left the terrace and is in the back throwing up dust before reluctantly slinking west and sinking
into the sea beyond the seas.
The town-scape, is charming red roofed dwellings among the many trees that are deep green this time of the year.
Near the sea two big edifices, one has luxury flats on top for the people called the “jet-set” It is here scrawny women live
on lettuce a day and Valium.
Next to to that house, a white elephant, a skeletal hotel that
was abandoned when the would-be owner went...

Pope Frances
Pope Frances
It is a warm sunny day in Lisbon, the pope sits atop of
Mercedes Jeep, he looks like an easy target for assassins
Men in black suits and open jackets hurry alongside the jeep
except for one lifeguard, who wears a gray suit his black suit
is still at the cleaners
The pope is heading for the big park, along the route
There are thousands of young people, waving flags from many nations
Russian flag, Ukrainian banner, it is all here, except perhaps
the Israeli flag, I assume there are no catholic Jews.
Where the road narrows...

Be better soon
As I lie here, staring out the window
memories of us are flowing through my mind,
remembering how it used to be and how it is now
holding back as a tears are just about to fall
Telling myself I'll be stronger tomorrow
We will be ok but I kno that's just a lie
if you could see and feel what I feel
things would be different
instead it's constant sorrow and loneliness
Now I feel like I should run before it's to late
But my feet are mentally frozen I cannot move
it feels as if it's something about to break
crying, and waiting to...

Grieving The Unforgettable
The character he was...
She thought she'd never find
They spent decades together
But it was never enough time
They were young when they met
Even now, she sees that day
And when they got older
She wouldn't let his intrusive thoughts
Get in the way
It's like that saying

Bad News Overcome
Redoubt for oracular sorrow
Where night settles
On her shoulders like a blanket
In mountain park village for lost lambs
Phone call to clinic brings
Even deeper sadness
Spot on her lung
A hole so deep her shade
Turns frown of a lost future
I guide her heart still pulsing
