The burn of your eyes
As my soul yearns to know you
I hunger for your breath, your lips
The sound of your footsteps at my door

Naked Soul
He gnawed it over in his mind,
how he would invade her kingdom.
Possess all her sums.
Her soul was dressed with the body.
He saw her naked soul, it's all and far.
External battles carve wisdom's scars.
His eyes burrowed through
tattered flesh and bone's soil.
Beyond her crumbling stone walls.
His hand on the door to her existence.
She lacked a shred of resistance.
There was a brilliant spectrum of her energy.
Our understanding of the magic
is still in it's infancy.
But her smile contained an elaborate...

fortresses of our heart seem invincible-
in love, their towering turrets a standard’s
base upon these dusty ramparts-
witnessing architecture wed landscape-
supporting our unyielding faith.

come and go; wars fought and lost-
as much as they are won; should
another champion capture your heart
as I myself have done, your attention
a profession of new-found love-
then, shall it...

I lassoed the moon for you.
Last night, while you were entranced in dreams,
I lassoed the moon by his cratered neck
and tied him to the brightest star.
I have it on good word
he's a voyeur.
He's confined above that spot on the beach
where our fervent bodies tossed as lovers.
Tonight, he's full,
so be ready with a towel.
The sun, I hear,
will be weak and weary,
and looking the other way.
