An Explosive Pizza
Pizza deliveryman Mike Rotchburns was as dependable as he was predictable. His daily routine was invariable and he was never in trouble with the law. In 2012, while standing outside the bank he just robbed, he told police officers surrounding him that he had been kidnapped by three people and coerced into committing this crime. Can you tell me why are we still dealing with the devil's in human skin, for sure when is it enough of the lies and false stories of the media networks. I once ran into a tagger, a street artist
Who went by the name "Unique"
Though he looked kind of young
The guy had a really good technique
But the font he was using
Kind of made me question his name
He spelled “Unique” differently
I wondered if he would reach some fame
I asked if he had a girlfriend
He said he was married with two kids
Then it finally dawned on me
The guy was unaware of what he did
They say ignorance is bliss
So I walked away listening to my music

Last Stand in Honky Land: 1945 style
No kraut could make a baby fast enough
once the world caught on to their sick plan
where they thought their "master race" was so tough
that they'd win all of the fights they began...
and now, eighty years on, their curse is back,
where paleface thinks they own the world
and will not share it with the brown and black
or have their blood be by nature swirled

Rules are Roolz
Some rules are good:
no smoking in public places
no littering
no running red lights
no killing people
But some rules are questionable:
insistence on school uniforms
in a low-income school
when mom's been unable to launder navy pants
and white shirts
because dad went to jail last night
or the power was cut off
or because the family of eight has to move again
third time in six months
I'm developing the reputation
as the teacher who doesn't dress code students
(they think I don't notice)
I do...

Tide Ride
a little swell
a splash and crash
a whimper
that's all
same stuff peddled
angst and nothing
when all's done
it's a big whole void
wind blowing between eyes
squinting at letters
jumbled abbreviations
swotted years for those
same old tepid liquid
left in dirty mugs
crumbled cookies
who cared anymore
reading tea leaves
thinking of magic wands
to return them all
to nowhere land.
