Empty
The difference only a few days can make
How a heart filled with love can so easily break
A voice that gave me peace and now it haunts me
A face that brightened my day and now it taunts me
With thoughts of a future that we'll never share
A dream once so beautiful is now a nightmare
The sum of my fears has come to fruition
My mind knew better but my heart wouldn't listen
Wrapped up in a fantasy, pretending it was real
Of course I knew better but I wanted to feel ...

The gift of life
That is so precious to me
My tolerance and respect is built around people
On understanding and empathy
There is another world for me to embrace

time to stand not crawl
woman you got gall
I've been watching you move in the atmosphere
tremble inside I'm aware of what you disguise
hidden needs you're holding out
my demons are smitten with you
what did you do, start, a union for them?
they say they don't like to torture
you're getting ridiculous
you set your royal guard free
now we have a rebellion going
there is a hierarchy
you have been fooled honey they are brutal
only to the ones, you order them to be cruel...

a sweet sister in sin has emerged from the shadows
to tell me some secrets to make me wise
she will not be so careless as to tell me her name
she is here to bring my soul some rest
I've always told the powers that be to masquerade when they come
and veil their minds to protect our thoughts and identity
once I'm sure we have a private wavelength
I tell her to send the information it will go straight to my mind
there are so many levels in the mind

I'm not
I'm no longer hungry
This loneliness is enough to keep me satisfied
My mind is preoccupied
Most people are deceived
That loneliness consists of absolute nothing
But if you gave yourself more time lusting for the void
You wouldn't feel so destroyed
Often I'm feeling toyed
Popping in and out of secure feelings
Not even sure where those even come from
You've got me on a long leash fella
and never seemed to care if Im your someone
Discarded it seems
From anything that would mutually benefit me ...

The odyssey of self
In the depths of despair, I bled for the masses
A martyr's cry, echoing through the passages
I gave and gave, until my veins ran dry
But in the end, I realized, I had to ask myself why
The world didn't stop, it just kept spinning round
Leaving me in the dust, with a worn-out crown
I thought I'd find solace, in the love I'd share
But it was all a lie, a facade, a snare
I tried to find my place, in the grand design
But it seemed the more I gave, the more I'd decline
My heart was pure, my intentions true
But the world didn't...

It was the new year
Holiday season was over
And everyone had to go back home
I enjoyed my time away
It was great to explore a new area
However coming back I knew what I had to do
She had been on my mind all the time
It did also help that we always kept in touch
Now here's the crazy part
I started to have a hunch that
she actually liked me in a romantic manner
Not out of the blue
But since we were young
I've always been a bit oblivious
to people liking me
which has lead me to some funny...
Holiday season was over
And everyone had to go back home
I enjoyed my time away
It was great to explore a new area
However coming back I knew what I had to do

i lay my head down
upon your cold pillow
but at the moment
you are no longer here
i can t help but wonder
if this is what my shroud
might feel like
after i m gone and no longer here too
that is
if
the so called dead
can even still feel at all
i wonder if my own great beyond
might feel and seem as calm
as empty and peaceful as this
such a rare place
of no more mental thinking
sounds so relatively good
almost too good to possibly be true at all
