It felt so real
It Felt So Real
I've been starving this emotion for so long.
I am keeping your memories in a box in the back of my mind.
There, they are safe. There, they cause me to feel sure
that I once was alive.
I keep your kiss in my heart; it stops my crimson heart
from turning blue.
I lost my promise and have never felt so alone.
I feel the warmth of your love. I keep it inside.

What the Darkness Steals
What the Darkness Steals
In the dark of night here whispers of light
Beckon me to flee
I heed them not
Falling to pray to the evil of darkness
Taking my love away
Leads me astray
Pray to the light above
No answer
Only silence
Back to the darkness I shoal go
No love in site
Why oh why theist do this
My evil, past cough up with me

Falling through time and space
Freefalling end over end uncontrollably
Exploding through the boundaries
Seeing the end nearing inevitably
I reach out to nothing and am rewarded
With nothing in empty palm upturned

Lingering mysteries dangle over my head
In hues of colors, bright blues, yellows, and reds.
Painted portraits of what could have been cloud my mind
As the dancing silhouettes follow directly behind.
Both our faces flushed when our eyes would meet
Neither of us could utter a word when it was time to greet
Looking down and away, we both were shy
We’d scurry away before uttering our first “Hi!”
From a near and far distance, my mother saw the full picture

Grieving
Grieving on how my story was always too dark to be told. That when I told it, I'd either get censored, be told I'm too triggering, or be looked at with those pitiful eyes. I get that not everyone will do this, but it happens enough times to where it's saddening.
