Fireflies in jars
I don't want fireflies in jars
to entertain me for hours;
beautifying my night
with their sparkling light,
Dispelling darkness for me
while their souls aren't free;
bringing in magical dreams
through their soft soothing beams.
These pretty luminous things
are meant to measure world
with their wings...

beautifying my night

Dispelling darkness for me
while their souls aren't free;

through their soft soothing beams.

Weep Freedom
the harvest moon
bright, high up the sky
casts light and shadows
she stands still
home where her life is
wishing she could leave
shackles borne by the unloved
in a union of convenience
arranged by beloved family
she hopes for freedom
someday perhaps, gods be kind
when he leaves of own accord

Soft Petals Of A Gypsy
Deeper and Deeper
My vivid emotions are scaling steeper and steeper
Falling into the enrapture of my sweeten abyss
I can’t swim, holding on for a floating reminisce
No breaths of rescue, but empty perceptions amiss
A thrilling rollercoaster ride to surrender under my seductive womanly creed
Giving you my wants, my desires, all of my needs
Endangered narratives, so allow my emotions for once to softly bleed
No Band-Aid needed, just permit it to seep and flow
Merging the essence of my heart and...

Gothic Angel
Gothic Angel
Gothic angel in leather pants
That gleam like moonlight on a black cat
On a cobblestone street in Prague
Flexing her feline muscles at midnight
As the torchlight of her eyes
Takes me into the deeper mysteries
Of her darkly lit arts
When she leads me
Out of the dungeon of my fears
Into the freedom of a raven taking wing
From the skeleton of a winter tree
Gothic angel in leather pants
That gleam like moonlight on a black cat
On a cobblestone street in Prague
Flexing her feline muscles at midnight
As the torchlight of her eyes

Smoky Mountain Rain
Kindly and decrepit old Victorians give feeble excuses
for the rise of the nudist. Either the nudist has a bad
case of glands or he can't afford a shapely loincloth.
Man is striving to get back to basic nature with a
little opus from the works of Aphrodisiac held in
escrow until I depart with an empty portmanteau of
cravats. Listening to Ronnie Milsap sing, "Smoky
Mountain Rain," as the Victorians hide behind the
hydrangea bush gossiping and grasping at straws.

Spaceship Satellite
Spaceship Satellite
Can you here me
La la la la..
Losing control like
La la la la
I make music to feed souls
And fill holes.
Spaceship to ground control
Do you see me out in the distance?
Floating out here, there ain't no resistance.
Climbing to the top of my thoughts,
Broadcasting them from my spaceship satellite.
I'm up here alone,
But it sure feels nice.
I'm floating home,
Just roaming right.
Inside my starship interior
Real feelings,
Ain't none inferior.
Will...

Freedom
Sunflower seeds and heavy weight champions
bombs dropping down on hospitals and schools
land is all that ever really matters
open a refinery memorialize them with crude
turns out the rain of armageddon looks like missiles
greed and power from a feruled eyed dog
fight from the streets and rooftops
they need ammo not a ride
death and destruction a bloodied women cries
now gas is so high I can’t afford tickets
to see my favorite rock band at the Fox in Detroit
so I go to the diner and scream at the waiter ...

End Games
Funky music in the background,
it's subtle but relentless.
been living life in a slow hell,
the only die hard consistency.
There is no healing without the pain that's guaranteed from the fallout...

On Singing
Step up to the mic.
Open the box and let the birds fly.
Don't listen until they've gone.
