unrelenting
you flower,
you're born
into
a world
of unknown,
but you
realize
what your
purpose is
even from
the beginning,
and with
your
young age,
you know
to follow
your heart,
each instant
unrelenting,
you bloom.

you bloom.

My Diospyros Lotus
Round, lilliputian Diospyros Lotus, bell-shaped
Veiled in scales, a feeble shield
Yearns for its gardeners’ tender care
Nurture it, to grow, fully fledged
The not so divine fruit clings to life’s agony
Roots entrenched in the soil of chaos
Its fragile stem, xylem strained
Carries arid minerals to the leaf bud
I weep for its struggle to survive
Hoping my pearls might help it thrive
Yet all it does is worsen its plight
As it gazes at me with pity
Perhaps I've stifled it,...

The rose
Renewal is abound
Rising up from the heels of decay
to carry the life of the ancients
where beauty prevails as a constant
I ride the wind with the wren
as a seed, soliciting the fray in the womb
Flitting from mountain to valley
before settling on a parcel
unblemished by the relics of the departed
I’ve readied my roots
to release the lore of my existence
Seducing the fragments of design
to imbue my soul to the soil
Tendrils of resilience weaving my foundation
I forge my stalk...

the obstacle
The obstacle
After the none violent revolution in Portugal
1972, as often happens in my life when something
unusual happens, I was there, not knowing I was
witnessing history
My ship came to unload cargo, but we ended
up staying for weeks, a revolution is too important
to be wasted by mere cargo
In the village where I later settled.
the new era brought a road, not a big road
but wide enough for a school bus
there was an aber, where the road ended
two olive trees blocked the road for further
expansion
The trees...

Nature Moving
One only waxes poetic,
Recounting nature's perfect kinetics.
Uses only immaculate phrasing,
To emphasise how amazing,
The stems, heavy hips.
The dropping of honey drips,
From the honeycomb,
That it's swaying whips.
The bee, hovers over, with power.
But gentle, goes into her flower.
The plosion of pollen.
What remains, the wind devours.
The cyrsos that conceals
A mirage that is real.
In flutters, her wings are spread,
A sensuous reveal
The Monarch, making love with The...

lilacs returning
from a
distance
i smelled
fragrant
lilacs,
clusters
returning
with gentle
touches
again in
each spring,
you wave
so gracefully,
always with
a smile,
so majestic
in your
purple robes

the dandelion princess
those
dandelions
stood
upright and
proud, their
lively smiles
easily seen
in the
early morning
light,
then young
hands came
to pick
those bright
flowers,
making
a bouquet,
she gave
herself
title of
the dandelion

Roses are whatever
roses are red
Violets are blue
This formats clichéd
Try something new
roses are black
tulips are white
you and I are as different
as day is to night
roses will bloom
but then they will die
lovers live bliss
but soon they will cry
roses are red
carnations are cheap
settle for those
if your pockets aren't deep
roses are thorny
couplets are corny
you are just waiting
for me to say horny
roses are red
love fills me with dread
it never lasts
it starts...

Stepping Into Cinderella’s Slippers (Summer)
Infusing the need in me to want to explore, to conquer
You taste the purest essence of me
I palate your wants, covet your desires, feather stroke your yearns
Inscribe your lust found deep in the core of me
Oh God…it’s so sensual
Two butterflies’ dancing within the midst of the wind
Giving life anew of unified hearts, joyous of self, its rebirth
Love sailing upon a soft breeze
Enlightening souls seeking beautiful whispers in the dark
Breath to breath
Searching for the essential of his intellect
Beautiful minds spiraling ...
