When a Tree Falls in the Forest...
The yip of a youngish dog can travel far,
reach his owner's ears a mile away,
here in the valley, we hear screams coming
from mountain parts hidden in clouds.
You cannot cut a tree in secret,
the shriek is mechanical, criminal,
you can hear the uneven cackle
of the chainsaw miles and cities away.
Sometimes it sounds as if the tree might win,
flexing its core against the cutting chain,
but we hear a whirr and then a whistle,
saw cutting only air, only where birds were.

Just exercise some responsibility
I am not one to put a damper on a party
you want to prance, sing, hang with folk
go ahead and knock yourself out
only one thing I ask
You see beyond the history which
didn't include people of color
two things I implore you to consider
as you drown yourself in spirits and what not
You see some of us have pets
that shiver and shake when you blast fireworks
talk about traumatic stress
their ears are subjected to things we don't hear
Second my part of the country is quite dry

Being enlightened like this, I could never be frightened of them/
For they live in darkness, and hate the light from my pen
I swear my faith's in the Lord, til he makes my life end/
Til then, I wear his armour like I'm out for revenge
I sent my God a letter, begging for some better days/
It's then he sent an Angel, yet he had a Staffy face
And when it's time to leave, I beg you keep my Staffy safe/

My Dog and me
The year was 1993'
Walking down the street,
just my dog and me
I was a little big man
at only 14 ..
I was hell bent
to make it on my own
mighta been
just a boy,
but man let me tell ya
that boy
sure thought he was grown...
And lord he wasn't alone....
Nowhere bound
headed outta town,
told my self
least you aint
in the lost and found,
aint no good life
living like that,
no way in hell
I'm ever going back
I'll go...

JUNE 22 IS A POWERFUL POSSIBILITY
Will Russia bomb US on June 22 ?? That is the anniversary of Hitler's invasion of Russia in 1941.
I am GUESSING that 6/22 will be the evil day.
No I am not "setting dates" - I am speculating, meaning I am not 100% convinced as to the date.
I expect Russia to bomb the US, and then wait 4 days before invading Europe.
You see, it takes 4 days for the smoke/soot to be carried across the ocean from USA to Europe.
Russia wants to wait so that the Europeans will be convinced by the darkness in the sky that Russia's claim (to have hit the US) is true.

Tantrum
The dog was disobedient today,
normally mannerly, heard only
in the language of sad side glances,
she was defiant after the scolding,
she knew the fault but hugged the guilt,
bristling at the admonishing finger,
she made her dislike of the nearness
of my hand known, she felt the need to start
the rumble, express the threat of teeth.
We know the temper of a tantrum,
we have been that dog and in that room
where knowing we are wrong and yet snarl,
we dislike the nearness of hands
