Cruelty is your middle name
Most people duck reality. Reality is a river with a fierce current. You can try & resist but the current won’t stop. It moves faster & stronger then you ever will. People give in. People have to many vices that blur their vision. Most people accept what it is and never go against the mainstream. Swim up the mainstream, go against what is the norm and what is being force fed to you. Living life this way takes perseverance and determination.

there is dignity still. yes there is courage
sadness peaks and overpours it must be expressed
let notes of powerful beauty explain
bombs and guns can not silence the soul of the brave
the blood of humanity will cry out to the heavens, hear the Ukraine
rising on the winds to reach the hearts of others
yes, I'm still here, feel my pain
in the tall of my back I am speaking to the downtrodden and afraid
music soothing the frayed spirits
for a moment transported to better days
in an instant all the joyous days spent playing...

The Forge of Thought
Every soul is a spectrum nexus
No matter who they are or where they are from
Even, God help us, from hapless Texas
Where a lone star glows for every bum.
There as here one can never tell
If it's to heaven the spectrum leads
Or if it's a nexus link to hell
Where only glorified horror proceeds
And psychic entropy soon sets in
To devastate all the hope you had
With retrogressing labels of sin
And omens evermore ironclad
By a forge of thought in endless fetters...
Unencumbered...by the realm of letters!

Lasso the Sun
The rider rides
With rage and passion in his heart
Over golden hills and across the plains
Across the great breath of land
Through realms and domains
Ready
To capture the sun
His untamed spirit and will
Has no time for menial things
There is a flame to catch and a force wield
As he gallops into the distance
Willing to conquer the day
Ready
To seize the sun
He chases the fire in the sky
Without wings or propellors he flies
Hi horse racing against time
Leaving a plume of smoke and dust...

There’s just so much I want to share
when I convince myself that you might care…
Alcoholics have sponsors when they’re under attack
but I have to find ways to have my own back.
So I pick off the scabs, I watch the blood bubble,
reread the silences, relive the trouble.
I let the hurt choke me like hands on my neck;
it’s not masochism – it’s reality check.
Then anger steps up to take over the fight,
beating back shame, setting boundaries right.
