I sensed her beautiful qualities hiding among the flock
A fragile and bruised lotus whose petals wept in shock
Her face was painted in a painful expression
Her stems ached a sullen sadness deeply rooted in depression
A haloed Nimbus hovered above her gloom
As if it wanted to antagonize her doom
She tried her best to mask her suffering
But there was just something about her that was puzzling
Her puddled reflection sang of happiness in her rain
Could she be the one? I had to know her name

why is it that we who have no connection
with those who have the power of what
gets heard and published.
Today, we drove from Cascais to Lisbon
a drive that usually took half an hour
it took an hour more because of modern time
had upset the calculation
a modern society is measured by how many
cars are on the road at the same time
we who sit at home are in the news reminded
of this by those who call this progress
after this profound observation, the rest is
pointless history is eaten by false history

why is it that we who have no connection

Worth thousand smiles,
Of sand and stones across millions.
Engraved paths; walks among dessert.
Exchange of miles and minutes... Time.

Factory Reset...
Rarely do I give voice to thoughts from within however I can't seem to out run these ones so here we go:
Everybody knows cell phones even if only a wee bit
Their settings ones to tinker with and ones that mostly require a factory reset
Their capabilities now a days versus when their time began imagine how much advancement in such a small amount of time

New Beginning : A Nature's Call
The thought of you,
Punctured sunshine’ rays,
In the noon,
of a hurricane wave
Ancient lured,
Hostile tried
to
take over,
the place prepared for
a bright New
start,
evoked,
hope,
against odds,
Time brought,
the calm after a storm
A wish ,
From a kid, a man, a woman
Gazes of dims,
holes-in-the-wall
flickers of stars surrounded by night falls,
As the clock tick twelve ,
And six is soon around,
I heard the owl moan - goodbye,
and morning...

What if all you were ever taught was a lie?
What if not?
What if life is only a long dream
Where everyone sleepwalks with their eyes open
And feet in motion?
What if all that stands for good and kindness
Grants you no credit or points

But what if it does?

To confer her ways to cries,
Broken happiness caused by lies,
The content of bounded curves,
Made it seem like it’s all about her nerves.
Inquiries deemed possible,
Mistakes made it seem not achievable,
Her strength was altered,
And affairs became deterred.
From her eyeball you could perceive she was blue,
The reason why, she had indeed no clue,
Even though it was so obvious,
For her it wasn’t that notorious.

Defeat of her hunger was about to crystallize,

We are endlessly bombarded
With people claiming they know what is good for us
But the only way to know
Is not to believe in something
It is to see for yourself
Don't believe it because science says it
Don't believe it because a guru says it
Or an "expert"
Try it out in your own life
Give it a fair chance
Then simply keep what works
And discard what doesn't
All theory is dust before the result of a practical test
Only by testing will you know what works
And what doesn't

It reads Williams Dreamland Theater
Hanging on by a thread it’s about all that’s left
Dawn rises in Tulsa 1921 smoke and debris is all that’s stands
Downtown shoe shine boy gets accused of
Being lewd with a White Lady
Newspaper prints the story and a white crowd grows for hours
Black men assemble put on war uniforms
March down to the courthouse to save a Black man from lynching

Growing up surrounded by rocks
and ocean border, with beautiful sunset,
on a distance, no other land or bridges to cross,
only prayers will suffice in hurricane seasons,
Even though the sun never takes vacations,
the rain is more than welcome once in

In the deafening stillness of twilight peril mocked her ever frazzled thoughts
Head hung low a lustrous mop of curls concealed a rising storm of defiance
Beneath lifes daily barrage of smite delicate shoulders curved inward as if to protect
