All 9 Lives Have Been Used Up
LOST CAT!! FOUND CAT!!
Can't you track that FELINE RAT!
Fluffy, Buffy, Tabby too
Flat in road in bloody spew
Sold to labs for make up tests
Makes me tickled, I confess
To see a dead one on the street
Makes me smile and feel so neat
My dogs will munch em, where they stand
If they venture onto my land
LOST CAT!!!! BIG REWARD!!!!
Shame I mowed it with my FORD
Feed em poisoned cat food sticks
Watch em twitch in spasm ticks
30 caged in cellar pit
Just for the hell of it
FOUND YOUR CAT!!
It's dead and...

Everything I know about love
my cat is an asshole
most mornings
he wails a death wish
in my sleeping ear
is possessed by Shakespeare
as he rolls onto his back
feet in the air
as if life is an absolute tragedy
makes me carry him
upstairs every night
abandoning me at the top step
then wails that I dare let him go
my cat is an asshole
sits on the edge of the bath
falls in where fur finds bubbles
in fury and chaos
& I towel him down as...

WAKING UP TO ANOTHER RAVEN POEM (3-7-2001; Galveston Island, Texas)
still asleep
i sensed his close
silent stare
i heard his comforting
steadily rumbling inner
purr r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r
as i felt his fine
double coated manx fur
on his warm
loving paw pad
gently touching my shoulder
then the rough dry lick
of his sandpaper tongue s
sweet tender cat kiss
upon my lower lip
to let me know he was there
so delicately trying to wake me
i slowly awaken
whereupon first opening my eyes
I looked up
into his close up loving gaze
only four inches...
i sensed his close

Pussy Power
I must not move too much while he lingers
He treats me like furniture with fingers
Before jumping down he will arch his back
Glances at me like I'm his favorite snack
Today he caught a fly then he ate her
As an appetizer for what he'll get later
He cries so sweet if he doesn't get fish
Am played like a fool for his every wish
If I call his name he simply ignores me
Wanting something he coyly implores me
With a purr and a soft rub against my leg
Makes me feel guilty for having him beg
He owns himself but...

My Cat Is Richard Ramirez
My cat was born in 2013, the year that Richard died. He popped his clogs through natural causes instead of getting fried.
He had been on Deathrow for a long, long time, missing all the bloodshed. Known as the nightstalker during his rein, a bartender that makes the rum red!
But Dust-man Rusty, my jet-black cat, so loves to maul the mice. If he had hands to hold a knife, I'm sure he would stab and slice.
Every day, when we walk in, getting home and close that door, Rusty sits there whirling his tale, while there is a laid out carcass on the floor.

Pants
The Humane Society named her Honeysuckle
I kept that as her middle name
cats don't need middle names
so that might not make sense
but it doesn't have to
I renamed her Annabelle
which often morphs to Bell Bell
sometimes she's just Kitten
even though she's 13
I like calling her Kitten
it may not make sense
but it doesn't have to
my strangest nickname for her
is Pants
if you must know
Its short for Kittenpants
but even I
have enough dignity
to not call her that
I'm sure you'll agree ...
