cat people tend to be the butt of jokes
you know the old saying...
...crazy cat lady...guilty as charged
let me tell you something though
these ladies saved me
when we entered isolation status
they were my only companions
my motivation to keep moving
Bella is the eldest...rolling into her 16th year
just starting to show signs of dementia
leaving the room & crying...as if to say
I can't remember where I left ya
she always calms when I call out
you'd never know it now...
but in her youth...

Black Cat Magic (Rebel)
As the blade of my sword to the paleness of your rotten skin it drips
A hawk to your presence and then in your face seem to allow the universal to spit
I can respect a woman who can take a stand in life and love, not found begging daily on her knees
For emotions there will never be returned no matter what the wants, or the degree
Is it not a sin to covet another when one has a husband at home
To bring comfort to an ailing heart, in your mind of make believe, which is too far gone

it tiptoed through my mind, a whisper among noise;
a small font
among quaking bolded neurotic monoliths
imagine the terrible
it's safer,
but still
the noise
the constant noise
an unwanted rerun
annoying in its frenetic, persistent flickering

By night and by day
They crept through gaps
In floorboards
In the roof, in the house
Into barns full of hay
As the mediaeval town
By candles and lanterns

The Three Doors
Wandering through a small forest
I came across an old gnarled tree
As i drew even closer
It had a doorway i could see
It was all wonky, and misshapen
My curiosity took control
As i pushed it wide open
It swallowed me whole
I was sucked into a world of cats
Some were flying, some sound asleep
And others were simply walking around
With purrings so very deep
Others gently brushed my legs
Guiding me like that
Leading me to another cat
Which was sat upon a mat
This cat then spoke to me
Saying "i purr therefore i...

She was not a stray
who decided to stay;
I afforded her little say
in the matter when giving away
the shirt off my back---
trapping
cold beast under it
as she wielded fire
needle hot sharp
---swiped, hissed, spit
wrapping
the ball of blackened
tortoise shell fur upon snow
contrasted
A month passed before Hester
finally warmed up to human
contact
And now, fifteen years later
futile is resistance to feline ...
who decided to stay;

Tough little geezer.
I had a cat, a tough little geezer
found him on a dump, inside an old freezer,
he was cold and hungry and as wet as a puddle
and the least I could do was give him a cuddle.
I stretched in to save him from harm
and the little bugger, he bit my arm!
I knew he was frightened
so I forgave him this sin,
but then his claws sank into my skin.
I called him a name
which he couldn't keep
as his claws sank, ever deep,
and hissing and spitting, he stood his ground
so I had to concede, this very first round.
I closed the lid on the old...

Comfort thy head on my bosom, lay upon your desires unto me
My beautiful dalliance I arch, invitational in its suppleness for your eyes to see
Your mind to feast, your tongue to savor in the swallow of the appease
Tender caresses of time you partake, eyes closed as you bathe in the abyss of my soft inner mysterious
Empty awaited arms, I shall come unto, the wishes of my temple, entwined fate shall adorn
Skin of silken desires, coveting your elongation in the cocoon of my warmth

City life still goes on even if it’s quiet…
I feel safe in this part of town. I love seeing street movement and animals walking to each corner for refuge to mark their territory.
There’s always patrols to watch out for crimes out here. So I have no worries…
It’s been a long day. It’s 6 pm and my friends dropped me off at a vintage store. Nothing seems out of the ordinary, just another simple day. ...
