Can I hold your heart, it pains me to see you lying there
One day he's gonna kill you, but you don't care
He's a walking billboard to please beware
But a bad relationship is just that and you've had your share
The fire, the flame
From both love and pain
The fire of love is soft, it's a glow
The flame of pain is raging and hurts you so
You've adapted, this is the only love that you know
Showing up for work with the same story as before
Blackened eye along with broken ribs
Were you in a wreck? Girl how did you live?

I Escaped, But Only Just: Part 1: A Recurring Dream
Buildings resembling cashew nuts. A church spire, matching in colour. A hill. I float restlessly, down the hill, past the brown-reddish buildings.
The people have come for me. After all these years, they've tracked me down. They find me in the front room of a house. My home.
It's over. The ringleader strikes me across the face. A backhander. It's years since anyone did that.
They leave. Or, at least, I think they do. Nothing seems certain anymore.
A few houses down, people sit in a square or a circle, praying.
Afterwards, these...

Treasured Trash
Being who she is, no one would fuck with her but me
Representing everyone else's past, but to me she is destiny
The best of her days could easily had been in her last bowl
But here we are standing at the birth of creation watching life unfold
I see a gorgeous young lady, mentally quick as shit
Her future has no boundaries,because of her wit
But she's covered in a shroud of every negative emotion there is
Jealousy radiates as she enters a room, not only gorgeous, but also a whiz
The females are plotting, just how protected can a teacher's pet...

I hear people say they are too fat, too thin, too tall, too short, have too little a nose, too big a nose, they've got freckles, wrinkles, pimples, or they are too pale, too dark and that makes them ugly.
These things do not make you ugly. You know what makes a person ugly? Listen to a Trump speech for 10 minutes. Hate makes you ugly. Not caring about people who are suffering makes you repugnant.
No one likes bullies but other bullies. There is a reason Trump looks up to people like Putin and Kim Jong-Un.
Back in High School, I was bullied. I was 6'1 and...

I didn’t know you until I was 10 in year 6 and all I wanted to do was please
I did that for a while but your anger was a volcano and it erupted
so I switched from please to appease
I listened hard and I tried to become the daughter you acted like you wanted
I got violent just like you I went by your name I got involved in dangerous situations knowing stories of my name would be carried back to you
I thought you would be pleased as I had done what you wanted
instead you took your rage out on me and the damage you caused I would never let you see

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU
As a child growing up yet still walking around with wondering eyes blinded, by my mere innocences of an child's mind as in mind and heart and soul. As I do not have the grown up maturity to understand fully, the real realization of how the world works and doesn't work in an grown up world. What if I was to tell you as my parents that I was abuse physically and mentally, at the very hands of another who your trusted as family even though to me they were only a stranger in passing cause I trusted your judgement.
