Gazing at the Stars
Heaven's Bean Pot
filled with many stars
as I look through my telescope
from a world quite afar.
I can see the planet Mars
and the spiraling Milky Way
the Big Dipper and the Little one
seem a million miles away.
All swimming in a sea
of sparkling midnight blue
and what should come to mind
but the evening I spent with you.
It takes me back to that night
not so very long ago
when I held you in my arms
and gazed at the stars aglow.
filled with many stars
as I look through my telescope

Saturn Through a Telescope
Saturn through a telescope
is bite sized,
like something you could scoop up from a bowl
with a spoon
Saturn's rings through a telescope
look like a little Hula hoop
or like the part of a plastic Saturn toy
a toddler would grip
Saturn through a low-powered telescope
does a bit of a hula itself
before coming into view
But then there it is.
As you peer into the telescope,
it's a portal to a two dimensional object
But for some
its a portal
to questions that form at the speed of light. ...

From another place
V404 Cygni
X-ray light echoes
Sounds emitting
From deep space
The black hole
Noise
No choice
Like a sleeping dragon
Stirring
One misty eye
Half open
A raging fire
For now
Doused
Whilst awaiting
A rekindled spouse
To kiss the flame
Of a re-awakening

Until We Are Gone
around and around and around and around
never an ending, never a sound
never a stop, never standing still
thought streams in eddie's beginning to spill
just like the Sun in the galaxy
Earth hanging on as off we all flee
swirling through space while spinning around
around and around and around and around -
up and down up and down up and down up and down
emotional moments in which we can drown
always rising, then ebbing away
emotion's an ocean In which to play
loving you loving me loving you loving me
loving...

amazons electrically
flow through plasma we can't see
in the aether everywhere
bringing life which we all share
as consciousness, the in between
waking up and in a dream
knowing all that's to be known
coming from and going home
as electric currents swirl around
flowing unseen with no sound
in the spectra we can't sense
going ever onwards hence
as birkeland currents create stars
planets too like Earth and Mars
Z pinched plasma compressed in
spheres that spin and spin and spin
twirling ever...

No Stars in the Sky
living within a red star's embrace
no stars overhead through which to race
no cosmic dreams, no SciFi
always a purple glow in the sky
believing all of which we're aware
is all there is, it's everywhere
there's nowhere else, nothing to see
we were so wrong, ignorantly
twisting ideas to compensate
for any strange celestial fate
like rocks from the sky, meteorites
two moons and polar electrical lights
dancing like fairies in the air
counter-rotating everywhere
shimmering curtains green almost blue ...

She spied me as I swam to the surface of Europa to watch an asteroid shower pass by
All perfectly aligned like thoughts in a mad genius's mind
