First Touch
Each day brought on that familiar smile.
Like rays of sunshine so warm and tactile
Every morning the dream got closer to reality
Knowing some exchanges are a mere formality
Beauty and elegance seem to have a smolder
Especially in the eyes and mind of the beholder
And when attraction brings two strangers nearer
They can reflect each other’s emotions like a mirror
Until one day just like it has been envisioned
Each breath will synchronize with precision
Hearts beat as one with a rhythm of pure elation
While ravenous...

Wailing Notes And The Quiet Beyond Them
I stretch in crisp air
it’s so sharp it burns
I’m here haunting the grove
sun cutting through trees
in an elegant arc of beautiful
I watch phone-screen-zombies
lurch through the cascade of light
hunkered against the glow
as if it alone provides warmth
locks on the case pop
the first note cries out
the sax’s curves as familiar
as walking
like sex beneath my
calloused fingers
I wait in the preternatural silence
drama in the scattered...

Purple Sex Halo
Often, after her pleasure pinnacle,
milady says there's a glow 'round my head
which she states, in her manner clinical.
And I know to trust all that she has said,
even if the utterance is bizarre
since love is nought, if not oddly wired,
to see a lover's face like some bright star
which shone where satisfaction transpired
with a margined glow from ardent bearings,
forevermore reverentially prone,
to fondly dwell on our earnest pairings...
where jubilation's angel flights have flown
from me to her,...

Familiar Voices
trapped in a crowd of faces and hands
chattering words and making demands
tired of smiling, I need to get away
(wrap me in inky black velvet)
my only strength is my will to breathe
(reach for me in the shadows)
I’m waiting, lonely in the empty dark
waiting for their songs
to touch me
familiar voices pull me off the ledge
familiar voices soothe my weary soul
familiar voices sing me back to the light

Someone goes out early, every morning
to make sure that the welcome mat
is free of leaves
Or during winter, of snow
There's a key, under the mat, but
the door has never been locked
There's always someone
coming or going
To this old, white concrete house
atop the edge of a cliff
-Looks like a fingernail at the end
of a crackled finger
of the old man mountain
Pointing down towards the valley
Those that look up, thinking
is it choosing me
But it's not a path
for the weak hearted
...

SURPRISED BY THE TASTE (2)
I
had heard comments
both positive and negative;
had actually been present
while others enjoyed it
and lauded its taste.
TO
look at it there wasn't
much to be excited about;
yet, I was frequently encouraged
to taste it and I'd like it.
THEN
one evening I gave in and
tasted Caviar. Yes, it was
different and I was surprised
by the taste. In time it grew
on me. Expensive but worth it!
MEET
me at the Kissing Place
and we'll share Caviar.
OKAY? My mouth is watering!
