Faded photograph from younger days
So many memories are hidden inside
Beneath all the tired irrelevant cliches
Where fantasy and reality often collide
His hopeful eyes are so full of promise
Truly believing that love conquers hate
This withered soul searching for solace
To relieve the burden of constant weight
Wonder if he’d understand I did my best
Trying to avoid all the countless pitfalls
Would it possibly be too much to digest
Knowing I’m unable to receive his calls

Insane Visions
Create an illusion where nothing is something and everything is a parody
parody your own existence
existence through a mirror of deception
deception is a sneer through your tortured sanity
sanity is a vision
vision of insanity

Self
As so many here I have been on a journey.
A journey to learn and improve my style of writing
The problem is I am starting to lose Fia.
That is not acceptable.
So, I was asked who I am
I AM FIA
I am raw when I want to be
I am sweet when I want to be
I can be an annoyance at times, but I catch myself and pull back
I am a natural encourager/ You need that push I will push soft or you need it hard well I do that too
I am not all dark
I am not all light
I swirl in the grey
If I claim you as a friend, then you...

LAUGHING AT MYSELF
ME!
Every day I pause
to visit my comedy club
where I laugh at myself
out of honest reflection.
There are a lot of things
I laugh at, mostly the
dumb things I say and
the things I forget to say.
My favorite laugh comes
when I forget where
I left my keys or not
realizing I didn't set my alarm.
Then there's telling
the same person the same
story over and over not
seeing their boredom.
I don't think I'll share
the sexual laughs I
have at myself, it'll
be a tell-all...

Kaleidoscope Life - a collaboration with WillowsWhimsies
cut glass images
wildly shimmering
moments captured in still life
distorted & magnified
who were we
in that freeze frame flash?
a girl full of dreams
eyes blindingly bright
chasing hope & mysteries
hopscotch...buttercups...
daisies in her hair
is she in there somewhere?
a woman with scars
gazing up at the stars
reminiscing on her youth
snapshot recollections
lost in the scramble
as the view continues to spin
what do you see
when you look within...

Letters To The Self On Throaty Thunderous Planted Lumps & Heavily Unfallen Eyefull Rains
trying hard to consume in
the lumping tonnage throat..
(or perhaps need them there forever..)
moistly eyes become
a floaty~ fluidic mosaic
an erecting glassiness veil
of thickening tears~ a wall..
neither breaks nor dries out
they are in an unnoticeably~ pulsing
delicate as if in butterflying babyholds..
yet stirring drilly~ deep, in a maze of
continentally~ drifting
'unbrokenness'
bulging ev convexical as fertilizing liquescence ...

Warrior II
My father once told me
as Mr. Roger's mother
told him:
“Look for the helpers"
in any atrocity.
“It keeps the world sane”
he continued,
"to know good people
risk their lives
for other humans."
My life and social feeds
were once filled
with a relentless search
for the holy grail of justice
amid political riots and shame.
"I am hurt, but I am not slaine;
I'le lay mee downe and bleed a-while,
And then I'le rise and fight againe."
was a battle cry...

SHOWER FANTASY
The sun dawns on a perfect day -
when my flat neighbours are away.
No need to draw the shower screen -
none here who might call me obscene,
when only viewer will be God,
who created the human bod.
I can leave the window open
on my bathroom as I wetten
my upright, naked, whole body,
feeling the cool breeze touching me
same time as hot water pours down
on my head haired greying brown,
my shoulders, torso, legs and butt,
as eyes take in the floral glut
in which my garden's coming out,
creation's...

The beauty of it all
They say that no one is sent to you by chance or accident, for in high sight they are there to help you navigate through, the process of understanding what is life truly all about when we can connect, on a subconscious level of energy and perseverance. For sure life is about learning new things whether good or bad, yet life will teach us as it will test our strength and faith and beliefs. For sure that is life in it's finest moments of maturity and strength, and giving us the strength to continue to stand and fight, never truly giving up. For sure life is our greatest teacher about ourselves...

utterly
dwindling thought withering in context
my mind ceases in ideas and gets angry
withdrawing from the lense
I don't wish to be observed
shaken epiphany I am cut off
from who I used to be
evolving utterly different
I wonder did that version of me die out of necessity
keening hope she was so beautiful
she was not me but I share her memories
grief burdens me, I wonder did I kill her, one thought at a time
drain her essence and discard her in the past
the present knows only me
it's a curious thing, I...

The Woman You See
Ever the happy-go-lucky child
Idyllic upbringing into womanhood
Strong and self assured
Or
The façade of such a person
Checking off each passing day
Akin to the doomed Iphigenia
With no
fairy godmother
to
rescue
her

Cigarette Redux
Your cigarette
Smelled like the late 1970's
Camel unfiltered
At the bar at the beachfront
A certain kind of haze
My eyes fell on you
Talking Heads on the jukebox
Life During Wartime played
Sweat, glaze, punk freedom
Defiance and glory
Our late youth unfolding
Into something nevermore
Smelled like the late 1970's
Camel unfiltered
At the bar at the beachfront
A certain kind of haze
My eyes fell on you
Talking Heads on the jukebox
