Long Poems About the Power Of Words

The Weight of Words
Words are a net cast into the sea,
dragging bright-scaled truths to light.
Yet the sea itself slips through,
its weightless immensity untamed,
like a dream forgotten upon waking.
A leaf, whole in its green perfection,
unbroken by wind or insect,
whispers of the storm-torn tree
it fell from—a quiet proof of ruin.
Here, even beauty bears the bruise of loss.
Each vowel carries a pulse,
a song strung from the open throat:
“A” sprawls in sunlight,
“O” mourns in its round, aching grief.
Consonants...

MY FREE LINE'S LIFETIME, PRECARIOUS, HIGH WIRE ACT (somewhere unknown in time; Galveston Island, Texas)
skip fact
let go
set free release
all those old archaic
straight line modes
of more self limited
stream of consciousness thoughts
now long ago let go of
released set free
modes and ways of habitual
straight line thinking
into this much better
more highly evolved mode
of free line thoughts and thinking
so break free of
and out from all
self limiting restrictions
of your mind
let it snake and flow
mindfully thoughtfully
thoughtlessly mindlessly
then either way...

Anti-anti Energy
Now
Take a look at the state of affairs today
Broken systems, criminal injustices, homicides, violence by the police/racist mobs,
Cultural strife and the madness by the media
The United States, one shining city on a hill in the middle of a very large plantation
Just burning, unlike Mississippi has ever seen before
So-called economists predict the waves of supply and demand, inflation, market failures, its successes
I don't have a Ph.D,
But I know exactly what the hell I'm talking about
Kenya and Uganda have strict anti-gay laws among...

Finds solace
Who is unable to swing wide the door,
Finds solace by the window's perch,
The door to reality, firmly locked,
Encased within the shackles of sadness.
Every attempt to unlock it brings pain,
A searing ache of disappointment and parting,
Thus, I chose to take a leap of faith,
Through the window of letters, I soared. ...

My old poetry
In the depths of my old poetry,
I find a tinge of melancholy,
Lines filled with pain, sorrow, and ire,
Echoes of my struggles, my desires.
Reflecting on the decades gone by,
Contemplating life's parade passing by,
Faces fading, wandering and lost,
Decisions shaping who I am at any cost.
Voices whispering within my mind,
Some laughter, some tears, intertwined,

OF DUSTED DREAMS UNDONE (4-24-2022, 21:30am, Palm Springs, California)
on waking every morning
i like to pause
and linger
to softly listen
and sense
to inwardly reflect upon
whatever dreams
may have come along
from dusk to dawn
in the night
as well as other
dreams
that may have slipped
away
in sleep s now lapsed
long gone
vacuous void s
deep subconscious mystery
unseen unknown to me
oft hid between behind
each fallen floating mote
of dusted dreams undone
forgotten lost beyond
the slippery conscious grasp
of each...

Enlightenment
Can you feel my humility?
My willingness to understand
What do multiple orgasms feel like to you?
When you cum so hard
And reality collapses into fragments
Of dreams and possibilities
How then do you really see me?
Am I still vivid in 3-D?
Or have I become multidimensional ?
A caricature of your imagination?
Intentional or not
We happened
Upon the Stonehenge of
Something ancient throbbing within us
So I fucked you...
