The Color

Well black and white suits her
like color never would
and she lets it love her
oh, like you never could
but you dream about her
her hair all in your face
her body draped over yours
she looks like home in your place.
so you call her on Tuesday
she's in your bed by Friday
with those 'I love you' eyes
and lips that give nothing away.

what you don't know won't hurt you
she keeps it under the covers
so you don't have to wonder
no so you don't have to love her.
she keeps away from the color.

Well she looks like a pin up girl
says she wants to be Bettie Page
she gets to you with her sweet streak
how it mixes with her rage
You think you that you can reach her
cause she looks so damn soft
if you really get in there
you'll find a little girl who's lost
but she still comes on over
and throw her lips onto yours
it's in the way she moves them
you can tell she's been through wars.

what you don't know won't hurt you
she keeps it under the covers
so you don't have to wonder
no so you don't have to love her
she keeps away from the color

well black and white suits her
like color never would
and she lets it love her
like you fucking wish you could

what you don't know won't hurt you
she keeps it under the covers
so you don't have to wonder
no so you don't have to love her.
she keeps away from the color.
