Blowing in the Wind
Here I am again waiting
Watching the wind blow the sands
I’m waiting…… to change these opinions
To be moved by you… waiting
I’m ready to let go of my inhibitions
My fears and… my perception
Of what I thought I knew
I’m ready to turn
Like the blowing of the sand
Turn…… to what is possible
I’m ready to let go of my fears
To seek purpose in this life of tears
Was I made to live in a world
That wasn’t always meant for good,
That wasn’t always meant to be cruel
I’m here for greater things
Perhaps to fly with faith wings
To reach the heavens, instead of digging
myself out of dunghills
I want to know where this life leds
To know my journey’s end
What the heavens aren’t telling
That’s blowing in the wind
Watching the wind blow the sands
I’m waiting…… to change these opinions
To be moved by you… waiting
I’m ready to let go of my inhibitions
My fears and… my perception
Of what I thought I knew
I’m ready to turn
Like the blowing of the sand
Turn…… to what is possible
I’m ready to let go of my fears
To seek purpose in this life of tears
Was I made to live in a world
That wasn’t always meant for good,
That wasn’t always meant to be cruel
I’m here for greater things
Perhaps to fly with faith wings
To reach the heavens, instead of digging
myself out of dunghills
I want to know where this life leds
To know my journey’s end
What the heavens aren’t telling
That’s blowing in the wind

Sounds like a contemplation on going back to someone (or thing)..one of those meaning of life reviews. the answers may not be blowing in the wind but they are stirring in your soul for sure.
this is just beautiful Glynis, great pen.

Oh yes! I wonder as well where I'm headed in life. What I will feel or not feel tomorrow. Who will still be beside me or who will walk away. If my love for someone will be more than what is today. Very inspirational write! :)

Awesome piece...you nourished my soul and put me in a place of feeling the sensation of a breeze and relating to the journey's end. I've often felt myself on the journey of your poem.
Truly a wonderful piece, and, the ending is excellent.
To reach the heavens, instead of digging
myself out of dunghills
I want to know where this life leds
To know my journey’s end
What the heavens aren’t telling
That’s blowing in the wind
Love it, simply beautiful.:)
