How it is
Look into his eyes
and you can tell
that he's a angry and sad man.
Once a proud man
the fire in his eyes
has become stone.
He'd rather fight, than love.
Destroy, than create.
Pure anger,
for how wronged this man has felt.
He has become
bound to violence
and drained of all empathy.
Still living by his Code.
and you can tell
that he's a angry and sad man.
Once a proud man
the fire in his eyes
has become stone.
He'd rather fight, than love.
Destroy, than create.
Pure anger,
for how wronged this man has felt.
He has become
bound to violence
and drained of all empathy.
Still living by his Code.

A very nice piece there, Evan!
What I like is that it pictures or mentions many strong emotions without it being sentiment.
Its a strong piece and I know some of those that you have mentioned!

Excellent poem, Evan. I particularly like this:
He'd rather fight, than love.
Destroy, than create.

I'd say something everyone would love themselves to hear but look at the comments doesn't seem like it would be worth it. So cheers.

It's been a while, I've missed seeing this particular brand of honesty.
