Just Saying
To touch the sky in ardent desire
For all happiness that’s known
In the heat of the moment, on fire
Close to the sun one flies and melt
The wings of needs and wants
Remember the aching yearning
That dies with age and carnal decline
Flitting through and fleetingly
Touch the sparkles of joy in youth
Discovery of self and hidden strengths
Weakness no less
Triumph with golden achievements
The bundles of treasures money buys
They turn to dusts and serve man no more
Just saying, nothing stays forever more
The beauty erodes and sincerity emerge
The poetic dance of bangled ankles
Will be swept away with reaper’s blow
The husk of man strong as pillars
Will crumble towards earth
Neither pride nor trophy the grave gives
For all happiness that’s known
In the heat of the moment, on fire
Close to the sun one flies and melt
The wings of needs and wants
Remember the aching yearning
That dies with age and carnal decline
Flitting through and fleetingly
Touch the sparkles of joy in youth
Discovery of self and hidden strengths
Weakness no less
Triumph with golden achievements
The bundles of treasures money buys
They turn to dusts and serve man no more
Just saying, nothing stays forever more
The beauty erodes and sincerity emerge
The poetic dance of bangled ankles
Will be swept away with reaper’s blow
The husk of man strong as pillars
Will crumble towards earth
Neither pride nor trophy the grave gives
