Worthy Of Love

I ...
Have traced the dysfunction
in my family tree...
To its root...down to its core
I have seen visions of my anscestors
walking through ...Forbidden Mysticals doors
I have seen others still as concubines...
To the Kings of Distant Lands....

Yet...in none of my visions...
has a good man ever taken a loved ones hand
To hold....like she was his next breathe...

So I surmize that in this life...
recognizing something real...
and making it last is my test.
As a need for more than wantoness
raises and crests in my chest...

I wonder why is it that the  woman in red
seems to get a good mans best?

Then he slinks home to his wife...
the one who cooks pot roast
and washes his clothes in Tide...

As he thinks on the woman in red
as he makes love to his wife at night...

Though I have never
tried to exude that firey light
Why are men drawn to what
they think they see inside

I don't desire to be that tricky vixen
Or wanton woman whom allures...
I only desire to be loved...
and feel it...spilling out of my pores...

Shaliah my Indian Anscestor...I see her
power and beauty...
but in the end....she was no more
than A richmans piece of booty...

With all the magic that she literaly
held in her hands...
The one thing that remained elusive...
was her ability to...Love Just One...
good man.

I will not be cursed
by the past that haunts me so...
In order to obtain the real...
I MUST let the past go..

The blood that runs through my veins
is that of Sensual Mystics and Seers
Now my gifts have mutated...and I
am a powerful reciever...

Yet I know...as they did in the past
I must fight the Great Deciever...

My Mantra is "I Am Worthy"
Now I must make my soul...
A Believer
I am Worthy of a Love
that even time...
will lay down...
and be still for.
