Verisimilitude

Scripture an undeniable truth
Holy words burned into the minds of youth
Temples to give the Gods verity
Forcing feeding the obtuse a life of austerity
Murder and charity rear the same face
Lies in the truth to avoid disgrace
Innocence lost by the executioner's hand
Death is justified at the deity's command
All for your sake,your path to whatever God
The words are unfeigned it is man that is flawed

Very nice- some really thought provoking content. And am always happy to see a new poet who enjoins the struggle with rhyme and meter - they can both be very unforgiving masters-or mistresses- anyway enjoyed the read.

Thank you sir. I have been writing only about six months or so and, rhyming was the only way i could write. But now i have gotten into different types of poetry. i will confess, when i write a non rhyming poem, my head still tries to put a rhyme to it. LOL
