Lament

Absence makes the heart grow
fonder
A voluntary permanence in absence invokes
the deepest longing for
reconciliation
the retention of something so insignificant
that passive hello or that 'rainy sky is darker today'
and yet removal of the self
draws with it an alternate idea
of what one's existence consisted of
and the importance of the lack
of being
is reinstated as a missing link
on a chain of reality


But the holes are filled in concrete lament
normality returns in its typical form
awaiting its next imbalance

in its changing
the body of it is never still
normality is a consistent change that facilitates a comfort on a majority plane.
