Luminosity masquerade.
Daybreak glides into place
with a ceramic clink,
indicating for prehistoric
cogs to rotate.
Black is swept away with
impatient tides of blue,
forced into practiced hiding.
She dissipates into colour,
infusing my vision bleak.
White coat strangers
insist on their help
with pristine kindness.
Attempting to wash away
the doleful with dove
waxen walls.
Though as Black swoops raven
into her allotted place,
luminosity slips a homemade
mask over my eyes.
I whirl the bleakness away,
dancing with countless other
starlit veiled prisoners.
A midnight masquerade.
with a ceramic clink,
indicating for prehistoric
cogs to rotate.
Black is swept away with
impatient tides of blue,
forced into practiced hiding.

infusing my vision bleak.

I whirl the bleakness away,
dancing with countless other
starlit veiled prisoners.
A midnight masquerade.

I like this, it had this whole steampunk feel to it, I pictured a lot of gears and clock guts in an old antique like hospital and everyone has on a doctors mask...

Powerfully unique pen, Scribbler. Incredible juxtaposition of words & images! Every stanza's perfect. I'm stunned by the sounds/images in the first stanza, too! Adore the poem. ON my reading list! Super work!! :)

I thought this was one of your most elegant poems youve written, I see your brittish roots here in this piece, like a carnival of sorts

Go British! I was drinking tea whilst penning
so that may have influenced the roots showing
themselves.

I really like the feeling in this one and the images it evokes. I also reminds of a personal memory. All in all great stuff.

Powerfully visual, your poem opens eyes as well as doors behind which almost no one knows. Really good reading, my friend.
