metaphorical stories told poetically and obliquely
your imagination affects me so uniquely and deeply
In love and lust it's you to whom I belong
how do you like my straightforward love song
and do you ever marvel at the irony and fact
that you can be so oblique and I can be so direct
although I am learning the language you speak
reading between the lines of your allegories I seek
your love your soul your body and your mind
all the while knowing we're really of the same kind
and even if ours is not a direct direction
it should not take away our love and affection
in the end love never cares about its style
its only mission is to make two hearts smile
so speak to me in another man's voice
or let your love shine through your lady of choice
because whatever differences in style we may have
