Image for the poem Desire

Desire

A subtle fire
on the soul's soil
barely warms
but quivers
to spite the cold

I barely tremble
perceiving the skin
and its certain
but light touch

blood play
this cocktail of essences
and the perfume of us
one small step after another
to inibriate that sense of smell

subtle breaches
press timidly and strong
almost insidious sprites
of underskin fantasies

your heady heat rises
fantazising deliriums
to squat over belly
like a full promise
and far

millions of little bubbles
in a row,
like soldiers
to spill over the veins
rise to the brain
as that inviting vapour
so dense one
might bite it
