Bandaids

"Out of sight, out of mind"
Isn't always the way out
Pushing back your issues
Will cause your mind to shout

Sticking a bandaid on a wound
Doesn't cause it to heal
It just merely hides
Tragic tales etched with steel

We need to look inside
To remove the problem by its roots
Clear the thick smog and ash
With which society pollutes

Feeding our brains with lies
"You're all special, but the same."
Leads to children thinking they're at fault
When it's our leader's that are to blame

Programming our youth
Makes the abnormals feel like freaks
They assume there's something wrong
With the words they feel to speak

Hiding our mistakes
Concealing them from sight
Merely distracts us from our problems;
Blinds us with fluorescent light
