There was a time when I caught your eye across a crowded room,
Who knew a love was soon to bloom.
Who knew one day I would be your groom.
The time went by, it went by so fast.
I thought our love would always last.
With children in our heart and you as my wife,
I could ask no more for a wonderful life.
With tears in your eyes and pain in your heart.
There came a night when you asked that we part.
