immortal in thought
as we masquerade these palatial halls
we forgot that time slipped through the walls
alas we were not immortal
I never recovered from this
today she died
My fell Bride
yet I still dine with her
throughout these halls
her feet moved with our dance
though once i had loved a troubador
and fauned over valkyrie
neither loves were meant to be
but yet my delusion persists illusion again
I took her to chambers
the silk softer than the first night
as the skin of her face still preserved
in a fading deception of life
beauty and belief of immaculacy
through denial
still I loved in rapture
only once she was bitter
with all anthema
I sought to capture
truth and regain
the life I never lost
still immortal in thought mortal in body
we forgot that time slipped through the walls
alas we were not immortal
I never recovered from this
today she died
My fell Bride
yet I still dine with her
throughout these halls
her feet moved with our dance
though once i had loved a troubador
and fauned over valkyrie
neither loves were meant to be
but yet my delusion persists illusion again
I took her to chambers
the silk softer than the first night
as the skin of her face still preserved
in a fading deception of life
beauty and belief of immaculacy
through denial
still I loved in rapture
only once she was bitter
with all anthema
I sought to capture
truth and regain
the life I never lost
still immortal in thought mortal in body
