Winter Time
Olde Man Winter's here at last,
so no more denying, Autumn's passed.
Looking forward to the Springtime sun,
to go out and play, and swim, and run.
First we must deal with the cold and snow,
before we see the first flowers grow.
(sigh)

Aah at first I thought it was going to glorify winter, kept reading "(sigh)" perfect ending. Captures the ambiguity that winter brings; dealing w/the cold & snow, also knowin that spring is coming

Yes, sometimes we have to be patient and bide our time through that which we do not enjoy whilst we wait for the things we do. Thank you for reading.

You don't sound crazy. Winter would be great if it wasn't for the cold and the snow. I live in New England, but lived in San Diego for a while. Can't wait to back. (sunny and seventy, yeah baby!!)

Mellow acceptance at its best. Almost a soothing quality that's hard to explain.. very nice.

Nice! There are elements of winter that stir my depths. It is my reading time, and the quiet still of most winter days in nature speaks to me.

I do like curling up next to the fire with a book on a snowy Saturday afternoon; up until I have to go out and shovel so I can get to work. ha ha. I'm glad you liked the poem, and thank you.

Felt a little jolt of happiness at this.
Nicely upbeat, short and sweet.

My favorite, too. Not too cold, not too hot, snow has melted, sun is out longer, color returns, I could go on. Thank you for reading and glad you liked it.
