Velvet Red
She was but a girl, in a wrong lonely world
No one to take her hand, but watch her fall, slowly to an endless sleep
Under the night sky, turning a velvet red, for the fall of her blood, to show it is her last
She always said, the day to come, turns dark and cold, from her touch
The tears flood out, as people come and go, to see the show
They tried to help, but to only get turned down, for she new she wouldn't need
They told her she would be alright, but she saw the lies, for she saw no light
She saw their sorrow, for their eyes never lie, yet they speak the words, that never tell truth
She knew this day, as her last, she knew it would not help, for them to know
She always said, she was fine, how they saw it true, never brought her peace of mind
She asks herself why, why must this be, why must this world be distraught by her smile
They see all the happiness, that she could never hold true, that never came to be
They pass her by, with a friendly smile, never knowing, she dying inside
Nothing left, but a broken heart, a broken soul, and the mask of a smile
To show shes alright, when there's nothing left, for it all has already broken her down
The never ending story, told over and over, for everyone to know
The sorrow and sadness, yet she couldn't take anymore, she had to go, they never knew
It danced in her mind, to taunt her softly, for she knows it is there, as she watches blood flow
This little line, red and pure, only the first, awaiting the last
Last to be shown, for all to see, she had her own troubles, that was never let free
It brushes softly against her skin, leaving a red trace, that can be covered, with her face
The smile that lies, she glues to her face, so no one will see, what she has planned
It will be soon, she says in her mind, the taunting fades away
She knows what to do, for when the time has come, she shall lay in a bed, of crushed dreams
It will happen so fast, no one will see it coming, once it's all over with
Do they see what she sees, or what she hears, or what she knows
She never reveals, yet leaves them clues, for a secret way in, to her head of ways
Never will they doubt her strength, never will they see her weakness
She had all that a normal person could want, friends, family, all of her own
Though it wasn't enough, for they turned their backs, only to find, she couldn't stay
She never doubted, that they would stay, only to find, they ran away
She hurt so much, she said that's enough, there's no one there for me, I shall leave them be
It was endless, but she thought it through, for days and day, it's all she knew
It never left her side, the antagonizing tide, that crashed upon her mind
Never again, will she have to hurt, it's all planned out, through the shadows she'll lurk
They showed where they stand, she shows where she'll fall, once again, the castaway
She joined her hands, then to her face, the waterfall, left such a trace
She hid behind, the smile once more, so no one would see, her sorrowful low
In a matter of time, she won't deal this no more, she'll be at peace, once more
She stands her ground, so nothing can change, her thought of mind
She once was happy, all careless and free, till the day she saw, all her friends leave
The pain over whelmed, it burned a hole in her heart, nothing to let go, for now she will go
The blade strikes down, over her absent soul, her crushed heart, will show a hole
It joins her body, like hands of the loved, the blade of her death, from her hand above
She falls to the ground, to her new bed, where she shall lay, in poisoned with lead
She closes her eyes, awaits her sleep, to know there's no save, for a wound so deep
Silently she whispers, I was meant for this, now it has come, and she shall never miss
Her breath starts to slow, her heart comes to stop, she knows it is time, she floats to the top
She starts to see, nothing in view, just so she knew, her wish has come true
Forever more, she she be known, as the girl, who is Velvet Red
No one to take her hand, but watch her fall, slowly to an endless sleep
Under the night sky, turning a velvet red, for the fall of her blood, to show it is her last
