Crystal skull, Chrome heart
Lucid dreaming
Is something we all mistake
For waking up and living
I don't, I find shelter
In my crystal skull
Look close enough and you can view
My thought processes
Slender opaque gossamer
Wisps of black or red gases
Dependent on their genre
Spinning stories made of
Lithium to cure me
Of this loss of spirit
Lifting my emotions
Feeding electrical impulses
Through their spines
And gaping mouths
Just to make sure
They are still alive
And faithfully responsive
In my chrome heart
I attract opposites
With my magnetic pining
Strong and untarnished
That is what I wish for you to see
Believe what you will
Believe what you must
I trust you not to break me.
Is something we all mistake
For waking up and living
I don't, I find shelter
In my crystal skull
Look close enough and you can view
