Never Mind
I'm not sure
I understand...
but you have the right....
we all have rights,
to know,
to be heard,
to understand,
to be allowed,
to have access,
to be a part of,
to have quiet time,
to be afraid,
to stand firm,
to listen,
to be acknowledged,
to be loved
in spite
of what
we may have done
or fear doing...
life is no guarantee.
We have rights
but that does not mean
that others will follow
along with them.
We have the right
to wear our hearts
on our sleeves.
We have to right
to see things
how we see them.
We have to right
to tell our story
how we want it told.
We have the right
to the truth
and to hide from it.
We have the right
to deny,
and in the case
of life
there is no way
around the reality
of our being denied.
So,
never mind
is a way
of dealing
with it.
IDK is a way
of not having
to think
about it.
Being in love
is a rationale
as to why
we would not want
our world to change
and why
we might go
out of our way
to see what
we prefer to see.
I trust you...
to be my friend
and never
willingly hurt me.
I feel that way
towards you.
So,
when you say,
"Never mind,"
I want to drop it
and let it go
and then not ever
think about it again
or ever have
to face a day
when I can't help
but not
to let it go.
So,
did you mean,
"Never mind?"
