Walk Around Frame Lake -- 2
It’s such a winter day’s delight
To trudge along on a path of white.
I feel the snowflakes touch my face
As to the ground they homeward race.
A woman passing, looks all that
In matching fur trim coat and hat.
A raven now flies overhead
In the soft wintry sky as I onward tread.
Three spruce trees standing by the trail
Are silhouetted by the lake’s white veil.
Two pine trees form a portal gate.
I hasten through so I won’t be late.
A ptarmigan flutters up by the track,
Its feathers as white as a raven’s are black.
To trudge along on a path of white.
I feel the snowflakes touch my face
As to the ground they homeward race.
A woman passing, looks all that
In matching fur trim coat and hat.
A raven now flies overhead
In the soft wintry sky as I onward tread.
Three spruce trees standing by the trail
Are silhouetted by the lake’s white veil.
Two pine trees form a portal gate.
I hasten through so I won’t be late.
A ptarmigan flutters up by the track,
Its feathers as white as a raven’s are black.
