Soulmates
If you're reading this,
I guess you feel like me.
Alone, misunderstood, dead to the world
Like no one else can see.
See that as you're standing there,
What you're really feeling inside
Is as if you're bleeding from every inch,
Is as if you just want to hide.
You see yourself as dead inside,
Your soul lives only to escape,
Trapped inside your own living hell
Tormented by feelings of hate.
So insignificant, so troubled
Something missing that others seem to have
What do they have? You yearn to know
What is this thing that you lack.
But I see you.
Even though we may be a billion miles apart
I see you deep inside me,
We will always share a heart.
We are one.
And one with others too
Who feel this way and know exactly what we're going through.
We may not ever meet
May never speak again,
But know we are together in this
And let that ease your pain.
