Humanitys Way

 In this world there are
Things humans cannot comprehend
In fact most are just hateful creatures
With no honor to speak of
Like politicians who try to mask
Their evil desires
As noble deeds
As if they are sacrificing themselves
For the greater good
We doubt what we have done is the right thing
when it is far too late
But I guess all people are betrayers
It's just self preservation
I feel as though their guilt is just an emotion
That helps comfort them
As though they too are suffering
And this gives them some degree of hope
To be forgiven
Still humanity clings to hopeless ideals
But I guess that is to be expected
When hate and revenge do hand in hand
And people are no longer able to sleep
Because of their fear
It is no surprise that people don't realize
That hope makes people
Shallow and obsessive
And in the end leaves you
All alone and with nothing
