Baptism of Life

 

Baptised in the stream of everlasting life
Laid out to dry on tranquil plains of slumbering peace
Demons betrayed by their insidious barking

Be gone ye demons of the night!
Bay for my blood no more!
For you will devour me not
I'm the light you run from
The good you despise
Take my form
my blood to spill upon the ground
For I will rise once more at your feasting and lay bare your souls
Commending you to the gates heaven
To be baptised in the stream of everlasting life
