The Ever Silent Snow
the stars above
they're so bright
without affection
without love
casting it's celestial light
upon the barren earth
the silver moon
round and peeking
behind passing clouds
owls sing their haunting tune
the ravenous wolves seeking
food and shelter
from the eternal cold
death and starvation
reek havoc upon all living
there is no salvation
for the forsaken
Death is always so giving
so merciful
when we are at our ends
the white
is a blanket
suffocating
the birth of life
everything
there and gone
in the silence
of the frost
in the silence
of my still heart
in the silence
of the snow
my eulogy
is being spoken
through the deafening
roar of defeat
the lifeless trees
loom over me
Death gave them peace
Death set them free
after so much strife
all life
has finally succumbed
to the ever silent snow
they're so bright
without affection
without love
casting it's celestial light
upon the barren earth
the silver moon
round and peeking
behind passing clouds
owls sing their haunting tune
the ravenous wolves seeking
food and shelter
from the eternal cold
death and starvation
reek havoc upon all living
there is no salvation
for the forsaken
Death is always so giving
so merciful
when we are at our ends
the white
is a blanket
suffocating
the birth of life
everything
there and gone
in the silence
of the frost
in the silence
of my still heart
in the silence
of the snow
my eulogy
is being spoken
through the deafening
roar of defeat
the lifeless trees
loom over me
Death gave them peace
Death set them free
after so much strife
all life
has finally succumbed
to the ever silent snow
