What is friend if not to tell
of nightmare thoughts
and dreams of hell of
sadness in a sunny day
or sweetness in words they say

What is friend if not to take
to all the places we can share
unknown places we will stake
and try escape the end to come

What is friend if not to speak
of loving thoughts you hold deep
between the two you build up each
to use for days of feeling weak.

What is friend if not to cry
when end does come for us
Tears for all unspoken words
not  even a kiss of goodbye.
