darkness my only friend

Here I sit alone in the wild of the countryside,
With darkness of the night sky my only friend,
Covering me like a blanket,
Tryin to keep me warm till the end does come for me,
Alone with only thoughts of what my life has become,
An eternity of loneliness is my price to pay,
For a love I did not show,
But did truly do feel,
For it is for a true love finally found and then lost,
How painful and true is the cost,
By my own lack actions it must be said,
Thoughts of why?? Running round my head,,
Maybe it would be best for all,
To let the darkness take my tormented soul,
To the place,I do belong,
Away from the pain I've caused and done so wrong,
To my true love,
So much hurt,pain,disbelief and misery,
Maybe my release could set them free
