Shot in the dark.
I stare you down,
it's five to nine
and I am drenched,
shivering.
There's a smile
or a curve of one
on the shadow of your face as you lounge
against the door frame.
You kiss me
as if you've been longing
to kiss me
your
entire
life and I have closed my eyes, stayed sane, for a moment like this on all those Chelsea Brick hard nights. (Before you were here.)
To be deadly earnest with you,
no frills attached,
I love you.
